What'Ll Ya Have
what'll ya have?
Bring me a poem,
raw or cooked -
bring me some verse
in a book or a file
to sit and savor a while
my brain's a bit sedate
'n' craves a line of thought,
a blue-plated special bought
to elucidate
some observation or
piece of life
maybe crisp with line
both terse and sublime
my tongue's thirsting
some stanzas bursting
with beautiful poignancy
to wash it down, joyfully...
and bring a toonerism Spoo please
