Whatever You Say Dear Contest

“Honey you need to mow the lawn.”
What? Its the crack of dawn.
“Okay, whatever you say dear.”
7am and I already want to crack open a beer.

She loves me with her whole heart and I love her too.
That's why we said the words “I do.”
We also said “until death do us part and it takes our soul.”
I didn't realize with those words, I was setting a goal.

Marriage isn't that bad, I can't lie.
Although my alone and guy time went goodbye.
My friends call me to watch the big game, so I ask if I can go?
Then I tell them “I can't, were going to Home Depot.”

The game isn't that big of a deal, just a once in a lifetime opportunity.
But she reminds me, I gave all that up for our unity.
I think, what does she sacrifice for this relationship?
I just gave up the championship and chips and dip.

Then I remember why I say “whatever you want dear.”
It hit me like a lightening bolt, so clear.
Its that thing for which I can't find a rhyme.
Its the reason why I smile, when its bed time.

A truly wonderful writing here. You've got both great descriptiveness and writing in this entry. This looks good for Francine's contest.
