What Would You Do

What would you do if you saw someone today
Who needed help, whose life's in decay
What would you do if you stopped and stared
As others passed by too busy or scared
Would you take time to encourage a downtrodden soul
Or would you keep walking, stuck on cruise control
What would you do if you saw someone in need
Would you walk on by while they silently plead
What would you do if they looked to you 
Would you keep going or would you come through
It is always the right thing to give a helping hand
For one day it could be you sitting in no man's land
