What Will I Do Today

Morn started out as many do
It was just another day
There was nothing really planned
But I had some chores to do, I must say

But then I thought I would take a drive
It does not matter where I go
Perhaps I will catch up with someone
Or go to see a movie show

Maybe I'll walk to the local shops
And buy something to make my day
Some food to eat, some clothes to wear
Or to buy a feast would be okay

I'd buy something real nice
Something for my kids to share
So damn the chores, I'll take a break
Might even walk down to the lake

Freedom! Yes I like this one. We all know the feeling of things to do and sometimes we just don't. Options, choices and we are free to chose. Our decision. I head one was and end up somewhere else wondering what I am doing and have to think what am I "supposed" to be doing? I get distracted by living on my way to life.

Vera: There's an ad on T.V. that suggests "You deserve a break today." Maybe your muse heard it and sent you on an adventure. :o) Thanks for sharing with all of us on the soup. Keep them coming. oldbuck

'Way to go Vera' - as they say in OZ. So Damn the chores and take a break, hand them over to the kids. Loved your concept and hope there were those beautiful black swans on the lake you visited...Maria

Yeah!! I am the luckiest grandma ever!!! :) How often does a 10 year old granddaughter call their grandma up and says, “Grandma want to go shopping? I will treat you out to lunch.” Well, Olive Garden was the restaurants of choice. But of course I didn’t let her pay. She took her money out to pay for the meal and I said no, I will pay hon. “ But grandma I said I was going to pay.”

Make the most of it my friend, take care and give your granddaughter a big hug for me.x

You are dead right there Andrea, I don't really have much time for myself these days, I don't work any more so there is always someone around, the only time I get to myself is when I have to go down to the shops etc. thank you for this delightful little comment, take care.......Vera

Ah! Eve, do it, just have a lazy day, it is a bit hard to have it to yourself if you have hubby around, I never have a day to myself as I am always with Peter and that is how I like it, whenever we do something, go out etc. it is always the two of us and I get the impression you are both the same, anyway thank you my dear friend and take care...Vera.
