What, Where

what happened to the days of old
Where life was more presious than gold
What happened to playing in the streets
Where the kids from the neighbour hood would meet
what happened to the long bike hikes
where picking berries for our nanna that she so likes
What happened to the hottie's she put in our beds
where she kept them hot every hour till we rested our heads
What happened to the days of unlocked doors
Where fear didn't seep into your pause
what happened to the days of babies being born
where laughter and love and family are not torn
what happened to the positive life
where once apon a time things were nice

Very well written Gail. Sometimes nostalgia can be sad, but maybe a poem like this can bring us back for just a moment :)

I like this. I'm a sucker for 'the good old days'.
