What To Teach a Girl

If the world was my classroom... there'd be desks with books of blank pages pens and pencils and paints to the side and around them.... there'd be music to inspire words softly spoken never voiced loudly or raised uncomfortably... I'd teach, that girls have power to cry when hurt fight when threatened mend the broken hearts of those we love support those we care about girls, like boys, have the power to do anything we think that we need weapons of violence to feel strong... guns, knives...they give a false strength that soon shows fear and weakness in our auras We needn't any of those... with just a book of blank pages and crafty utensils to draw and paint we are ready.... to show what we got to be who we are to know that we are perfect. If the world was my classroom, I'd teach a girl...all girls.... that we can fight hard like a man, love just as passionately as a man, and care and cry like a real man should. We are strength and we have strength.
