What They Want
Greatness craved me
As much as I wanted it,
Success sought after me
More than I could ever think.
The caliber of people I wanted to meet,
Sit and speak with,
So badly wanted to see me.
I wanted good things,
Just as they wanted me.
They all wanted me,
As much as I wanted them.
They all wanted me,
More than I wanted them.
They all wanted me,
But not this undisciplined version of me,
So I grew into the version they wanted of me
And grew into much more than I ever thought I'd grow to be.
Then they all came, gushing all over me.
