I cannot even fathom John. Experiencing loss is not the same as losing a mate. I have experienced loss, but I have never lost a mate. I pray you have moments of peace <3

I cant even imagine John and l don't want to….l have been with my husband since teenagers and the thought of losing him l can’t bear. My heart goes out to you..your poem touched my heart ….few words by message mighty…..Sending a cuddle your way…Debx

How awful. I tried to encourage people in your face that we live among the living, not among the dead, no matter how much we love them. My husband died over 40 years ago. When was I supposed to do?? I learned to love again and live again and give again, but I don’t live in the dark space anymore. Life is so demanding there were other issues going on thereis a world at stake, my husband taught me joy, and he would not want me living sad. Pangie

Thanks John, there's a very important lesson in all of this. If we have comments to make to our loved ones, we should not delay. Life is short and we're just a momentary blip on the cosmic radar screen. I hope you have inner peace and some joy knowing that you're considered very thoughtful and smart here!

Hi Duke, as you say life is short, losing your soulmate is devastating, me and my wife often spoke about dying, I always hoped God would take me first, but it wasn't meant to be.

Loss of a friend is never forgotten. Today I had a hospital appointment. I was told that a friendly nurse is very sick, It spoilt my day.

Hi John. Luckily, our soulmates believe are i n enough our soulmares are in a better place. And God gives them a job to do so don’t think they’re pining for us. I don’t think so,, they have a job to do..not worry about when they’re going to see us? But we on earth miss them don’t we? It took me a while to get over that loss, but I don’t live with loss. I live with gratitude that I have him my life.. so what I feel is Joy and satisfaction both. I don’t know if that makes any sense? Pangie

Very sad; I can only imagine the sense of loss. Fortunately, my wife and I are still together, but...we are at that age now, one day at a time. Very heartfelt read.

I completely understand this. I can also say it doesn't end too. I lost my best friend in 2000 and it seems like yesterday! I am sorry to hear about your loss. Take care. :)
