what makes me happy

I would stay for hours,
Waiting for a nice bee to land,
On the small purple flowers of a fuchsia, or heather,
I would wait for hours,
As if the future of the planet depended on it,
I would stay under the discreet sun like a cactus
Innocent and patient,
I would stay in November until Saint Catherine,

Waiting for a bee to declare its flame to a flower,
I would stay for hours, like a bronze statue,
Waiting for my little bee, I think of you,
I would stay for hours,
Waiting for a little black or white bee to fly,
To see her land on a daisy joyfully,
Or on a star blooming in my garden,

I would stay for hours,
As if my life depended on it, or another life,
Because happiness lasts only one spring,
Because life is too short, or unfair;
Because bees are brave messengers,
Thanks to them, we marvel at everything,
We are human, like flowers from a vase,
We can write, « La vie est belle».

Parce que la vie est trop courte, ou injuste ;

I enjoyed this lovely poem about bees, Yann. I find bees to be fascinating and industrious. The last verse is my favorite. It is so wise and deep. Best of wishes.

Yann, sometimes spending time looking at the smallest things make us the happiest. I really enjoyed reading this poem. I think is stunning and it teaches a lot to us. We spend so much time trying to get unimportant things that we miss the best ones. Thank you Yann, for bringing your originality to our eyes. Blessings my friend!

This is such a sincere and heartfelt write. I absolutely love the way you’ve started the poem and also how you’ve written using flowers and nature to convey your longing. But of all I absolutely love the ending the most “ We are human, like flowers from a vase, We can write, « La vie est belle».” so true and profound! Pleasure reading your poem as always. Sending you light today and always

A lovely thought and a tremendous tribute to patience, Yann. I enjoyed your poem, my friend. I read a few comments below, and noticed we think a lot alike on the topics of a poet or a philosopher? I love philosophy and poetry. Have a great week! Bill

A very cheery poem! Did you know no one knows what makes bees fly? It's a mystery, because their wings are too light for their bodies. :) A little trivia... :) Nice one!

Yann, you make life beautiful, with poems like this. The annoyance of waiting to some, can be the thrill of anticipation to others. Your poem shows the reward of patience and the dedication to something so loved. Your poem is the epitome of love, for a bee ? well yes, but for anything worth waiting for. You are a true Poet .
