Some things young children most enjoy are inexpensive; some are free. To girls, give baby dolls; to boys, dump trucks and bouncy balls. They’ll be so pleased. They also like to wade in creeks, play hide-and-seek and tag, watch Loony Tunes, eat cookies made by Mom, and watch a pup's tail wag.

Hello Janice … boys love to be adventurous and inventive, but in these modern times the restrictions are very strict. I did enjoy your verse because it reminds me of my childhood days - thanks Janice - Lindsay

Creative way to go for the contest. My children always enjoyed the boxes that the Christmas toys came in. They can take a box and get in it and it can become anything they want. Most anyone can ask for a box at store and a new toy for a child. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara
