What It Means

Lifeless decisions 
Lifetime memories 
Follow you through 
From a baby to an adult
It means so much
We take it for granted
Things seem to be going straight 
Then they go slanted
Takes more than strength and power
Time and hours
Realistic vs. Optimistic 
Truth and lies
The bills and rent
Make you want to run away
Not want to be an adult anymore 
I give up
Give me those kid days back
That's a fact
I loved when I had no worries 
No care in the world 
Now, I have 4
Make me crazy some more
I have to prepare 
For the life ahead 
The attitude 
The tantrums
The disrespect 
The menstrual 
The mental 
Show me how
Being and adult 
Is taking it one day at a time
When your young 
You don't listen
Or understand 
That life will become a lot harder 
Because life is a 
DEMAND!!
