What it is to live life

You stop and smell the flowers
A time, a break from realities truth
Creatures great and small breath
We don't understand, never taught as child
Just able to live life not knowing
It all ends, we grow fast
Meaning of life never a thought

We're taught the integrity of life
Not of one's soul but respect learn
What it is to live life, who we are matters
Or do we get entangled in web of deceit
Losing sight of what really matters
Growing as an adult engaged in our desires
Consumed by everyday's iniquity
We forget easily, to follow our feelings

Skies turn blue as much as darkness roams
Life being what you make, despite obstacles
Only finding peace when quietness exist
But not in ourselves, what is it to live life
That we struggle frustration anxiety
Only in oneself real meaning lives
Happiness, untold story laid depths of darkness

A smile lights the world as if sun rises
As if stars ignite the universe sky's at night
A pleasant feeling, a greeting from kind being
Enjoying birds, bee's and animals at play
Let's remember, it's heart that keeps us alive
But a feeling that thrives nourishment
Not the pleasures which brings complications
But the human in you is what it is to live life
