What Is the Matrix of Love

Of course we know.
It is desire, of the beautiful,
and of the base. It is
the consummate gift of God.
Here it is the cup is shared
both in this life
and in the life to come,
and I shall drink of it with gratitude
for in this draught is all the purpose
that I need.

From the table of our peace it rises,
spreads its covering cloud upon us all.
From this table souls are fed,
fractured lives made whole
and dessicated hearts
will burst exultantly.

It is for Everyman the paladin,
the source of every tool that we may use
to build our heaven and then
to share its joy.

Do you hear the song?
I do. It is the earth in which I play.
It is the sound of love
that drowns all doubt; it is the base
of all reality, and he who hears it
hears that voice alone.
Incomparable it is; it is the voice of home.
        ~

Charlotte, it has now been more than ten years since I renounced religion as much too confining for me. That does not equate to a renunciation of God, however. It does equate to a much broader impression of what that God might be. I don't really think we humans can ever define that, much less worship it. It is much too big. You?
