What Is Poetry: Acrostic

Acrostic: What is P O E T R Y?

P=Pro-People. Poetry begins with ‘p’ & ends in ‘why.’ My dark poems always seem to have a ‘P’OSITVE end, or hope. Do U see?

O=Overcome! Overcome opposition & “others” with Optimism. Use “other” words for the “Other” (see Respect)

E=Empathy. Extend Empathy, whatever your own Experiences. Emotion is not poetry, but with Empathy, yes!

T=Truth. A timeless element. Is there something more than yourself in the writing? While we differ about 'truth', a Cosmic Clockmaker is behind Timeless Poetry

R=Respect. We have sung songs about RESPECT. Respect all in your writing; if necessary disagree 'R'espectfully. This is the big challenge in poetry

Y=Yield. Yield to Y. Yield to questions. Could you yield to "others"? We discover uses & abuses of poetry every day, but good poetry is pro-people.

Finally, an Acrostic for POETRY also says: People Overcoming and Empathizing (with the “other”) & with Truth & Respect, thus YIELDING to more poetry & people (“other” poems & people). POETRY can bring us closer as One species.

Yes yes and yes for may we all yield to look listen see and hear to yield to each other and life's happenings with each other. This is marvelous expression. Have a wonderful morning. Stay well. Poetry, as you know comes from the Greek verb "Poieo" which means make something by hand, produce, create, bring something to light, to existence! God is the "Poiitis Panton" the creator of all things! Deep , informative Acrostic my dear, friend, Anil Deo! Much enjoyed! Please, if you ever see something I wrote and you like it and you want to use it, just do so! It will be a pleasure!

Demetrios, LORD JESUS is so good to me, that when I retire I will spend more time in Greece, with your powerful mind. When Alexander conquered the known world by 313-320 BC, he was preparing for the Bible in Greek, to spread across the world. Today the lingua franca has become English. But you show how much depth we get in POETRY & the New Testament, from Greek etymology & culture. God is pervading everything; HE remains SOVEREIGN alelujah.Thx Brother Rabbi

Praise the LORD God of positive poetry. Nver got 2X7 so readily. Hallelujah ... You know I believe in the power of positive poetry. It was the only ray of hope in my childhood (My dad was an alcoholic, but he loved God in his way. I honor all dads and Moms, especially next week being Mother's Day. Maureen & Anne-Marie, you receive my first wishes for Happy Mother's Day (My wife got them yesterday with planning for next week). shalom, shalom
