What Is Love
A question asked by the ones so young
Show me my true love
A question asked by the wife now alone
Asking "Why?" to the stars above.....
This question is begged by the parent in pain
When their teen has walked away
Telling them they feel no love
And they refuse to live their way
The question is asked by the one left behind
Looking into a cold lone grave
For the love they had has gone away
And they begged Lord let them stay
The question is asked by the little child
Walking in heaven today
For its mother turned her back on them
And threw their life away
What is Love and when will we know
For so many times it’s near
But only to silently slip away
Leaving emptiness, doubt and fear
You give your life to the one you love
You tell them you’ll never leave
Your heart feels so full of hope inside
Praying their love to receive.
We can only look to our Father above
To guide us to the one He chose
For His plan has been laid out for you
What is LOVE? HE only knows
When we look for love out on our own
we let our emotions guide
we have no way of knowing the truth
who will stay close by our side
Our God knows that precious Love
He is guiding us each day
Closer to our one true love
If we wait He'll show the way
For the ones who have been left behind
Don't give up for loves still near
The ones who left us here alone
Our hearts still hold so dear
But if our God has opened a door
One that only He can give
True love will show its shining face
Allowing love to live
No matter where Love has failed
No matter the mistakes we've made
If we Trust in God to guide the way
Loves gifts will never fade.
For when we find that Love from God
We will know without a doubt
This love was a Gift from Above
And will show us what life’s about
Wait on the Lord and pray each day
To give us what is real
For when true love fines its mate
The truth will be revealed
Comfort those who don’t understand
Why love left and hurts so bad
Wrap your loving arms around them
And listen when they’re sad
Give them Love they have never known
Weather it be from a child or friend
Show them Lord your way is good
For with you True Love begins
The question is What is Love?
Why has it not found me
Well my friend first turn to God
For HIS love is all we need ...
He will guide our path each day through life
and hears our deepest plea
He will show us where our true love waits
when we meet Him on our knees......
