What Is It All About

What's this Christmas thing all about? Folks say an angel came and glory shone around. A pregnant girl lay in a stable, The best place that could be found. Shepherds in a field, watching their flock, When this angel appeared, it gave them a shock. Do not be afraid, the angel said, Go into town, see the babe, in a manger for a bed. He will be the savior of the world you see, Sent from God above, a King he will be. He came to earth to be a mortal man, It was thirty years before his ministry began, I believe it started as he was born a man. He came at a time when his people were down, He came because they needed a King with a crown. It took just three years to do eternity's work. What He did those millennia ago, Was to sow the seed for His people to grow.
