What Is Everlasting Life

So just what is everlasting life ? I ask!
What will I do everyday, forever.
Sounds strange to be alive, forever.

Roaming the land, how can I fill such time?
Forever is such a long time , a time I seem to feel compelled to fill with the sublime, forever?

How do I deserve such a fate?
The universe is no more ready for me as I for it.

I'm not ready to live forever,
but I don't want to quit.

Hi Ray, to live forever in this selfish, sinful world? No, thank you. It gets worse each day. Thankfully, we will die. And on the Day of Judgement go to Heaven! Life on this planet was never designed to be perfect… There is no forever on this earth. The next life is.. just live each day as best you can. You won’t live forever here, no chance! Find some beauty in this day, read the Bible. See you in the great afterlife, God willing Pangie xx with hugs

A profound thought Ray. I have often pondered that very question.

You pose the question philosophically...perhaps you realise the answer, Ray? Everlasting or eternal life is surely about quality rather than endless linearity of days. Time is part of creation, and time too will cease when God wraps up this creation. So spending eternity with Him will no longer be day after day, with time to be filled. ' No eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart if man imagined what God has prepared for those who love Him.' 1 Cor. 2:9 Very best, Bob

Thanks for the perspective. Time has only spiritual qualities when not surrounded by flesh i suppose.

As the Irish say, sometimes the world is too much with us. Your verse, as catchy as any popular song. Robert

Yes, the Irish! I kinda like them. Been married to one for a long time. I've been toying with altering the last line. I don't like the word but in there. Don't you agree?

Hello Ray Zottola, I like the last line of your poem. If you could give it a try. Blessings my friend.
