What I Should Have Said

''You don't deserve to look at my reflection,'' is what she last said to me, when she realized I wouldn't give her any more money. How I should have responded occurred later to me, ''Vampires don't reflect, so no worries honey,' instead I just didn't respond at all, regretfully.'

We have lots of regrets from things we should've said or should've have voiced. Your lack of response was the high road. I've learned that sometimes the best reply is nothing at all, for it leaves the other person wondering what was on your mind.
