What I See

A man stands looking gleefully

Identity unknown a scary story unfolds

Who is this man standing at the door

The doorway! In the doorway

Smirking almost condemning

My back faced to him

I stand still as my picture is taken

He again looks at me with the utmost glee

That woman I see is as dumb as a tree

Swallowing chunks of fear

I down a couple of drinks

And head to a pier

And into a crowd

I disappear

Blending away into the mist
