What I Remember of You

Your eyes, blue, They said everything, asked everything Loved everything Soft, they were so soft You were not ashamed I was an outcast, inescapably Filled with anxiety and pain Yet you offered me your warm hand Without the pressure of fitting in it perfectly It was not profound, It did not leave me senseless and sleepless But I still remember the peace of our silence The music, swelling seas and sways And your breath, Fresh, energizing, cool A calm breeze wafting mint 10.28.13

Your description of love's simplicity in natural grace is very beautiful Poetess. When love can enjoy stillness, and calm silence, then perhaps it will love itself...J.A.B.

A lovely write Laura, not looking for perfection, just appreciating the simple desire of someone to want you and knowing they might be as lonely as you are.

James...thank you for the visits. I appreciate your feedback tremendously. This poem was dedicated to a passing soul whose birthday is today. I'll never forget his kindness. I miss him. <3 ~Laura
