What I Have Learned

What I Have Learned I have already lived long enough in this world. I had good times and bad ones too. I learned that everything comes to an end. I learned that you have to go through bad times to be able to appreciate the good. I loved once with all my heart, but my love was not valued at all and for that I could not love again, because the one I loved just broke my heart. But GOD gave me a family and a chance to see them grow up. I can't give them riches all I can give them is love and sometimes, some good advice. When you don't have nothing to give, all you can give is your love. I had the good fortune to have a good husband. He was not rich and did not give me luxuries. He gave me support and gave his love. He also gave me a place where I could belong. I have learned that life is like the four Seasons. In Spring, everything blooms, than comes Summer and everything is colorful and beautiful. Than comes Autumn and the colors change again. This time they are orange, red, brown, yellow and green and the Indian Summer sets in. Very soon the leaves on the trees start to fall. The trees become naked and they lose their beauty. Everything is dry. Than comes Winter and everything dies. They have lived their life for one full year. That's what I learned, that if we are born - we have to die. Between the time that we are born and the time that we die, we will live a life and whatever we do in that life, is what will reflect on us later and also in our family. I learned that nothing is free in this world. Everything has a price. If we do wrong - we will pay later. Even up to the very end, there will be a price to be paid. This is what I have learned...

Filled with good common sense learned from life. If we are smart we learn from life to do what is right, if we aren not then we just keep going until we die and leave a big mess behind us. Great job Lucilla. God Bless and thanks for your comments on Jesus - King of the Jews. JB

Life is good if we can learn from our mistakes and teach our children how to over come trials in life. It's not what's on the outside that makes our lives worth living, but what shines from within. Enjoyed your poem, it stirs-up the mind. God Bless. Avis

I have to say...one can live a life of poor thoughts and rich thoughts...i love the way you settled for rich thoughts... and yes, everything comes with a price,, good or bad... I'm always on my toes, when it comes to my actions... I'm always afraid of bad reactions... enjoyed your poem..pd
