What Good Is a Love Poem

I could draw out and measure my words Paint them a colorful hue Capture a couple love birds Have them whistle a tune Open and invite into mind The beautiful essence of spring But what good is a love poem If it does not fill a need What good is a love poem If it doesn't come free I could hold and rhyme with a rose Remove all the pain of its thorn Speak out loud in a crowd of love's hope In a world that is lost and forlorn State all of the facts Of exactly what love can do But what good is a love poem If it doesn't ring ture What good is a love poem If it's not inspired by you
