What Font Type the Heart

Listen to poem:
Who was it that first said.. 'the eyes are the window to the soul'.. who's eyes did they envision.. and how did they know? And what of sweet wetted fingers that comb.. to straighten this messed heart cowlick I own. Few well paired wanderlust seek a divine pardon.. still fancy the folly of youth's far flung travels. Two trespass meadow lost to petal lined garden, til intimacy's last mystery unravels. Darting dawn awakes to write upon love's torn page.. parting drawn in true type font in spite of heart's age.

Poetry is wonderful, we can use it as a medium to convey our feelings and poetic licence allows us to fantasize as much as we want to. This poem is magical and your 2nd and last couplets are breathtaking - also love 'til intimacy's last mystery unravels' .................in spite of hearts age' - does the heart ever grow old? Your music is perfect for this poem. Beautiful Richard, Hugs and blessings Jennifer.

The eyes must be "windows to the soul"; since different animals are all affected by the way you look at them...even people. Well penned.

Michelle, Thank you for that magic comment. Time is the ultimate forgiver. Though I admit to using poetry as my confessional, haven't trespassed in any meadows lately. -R

I am certain that our eyes are the mirror to or soul. I see through a person, and that is by their eyes, the way they look at you, the way they speak to you, the way the plead with you and the way they play with you..Your last two lines of your verse tells all. Magnificent write Richard. Thoroughly enjoyed. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Gershon, Thanks, I hoped it would hold some significance. Nothing better than a good font. Even graffiti artists attempt to copy the best of them. -Richard

'the eyes are the window to the soul' Yes, I have heard this many times in my life. I believe the one seeing inside the depth of me, can see all that I am. My heart and my soul. My joy and my pain. I enjoyed the music with your poem. ~ Brandy
