What Fascinates Me

"Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life." Quote by _Picasso
I love to immerse myself in art ... to submerge my soul ... and saturate my mind and become engaged and enriched I am left a more enhanced person when surrounded with art I am nourished it shakes the ocean of my sleep ~ I step into an ethereal world of landscapes and set sail on a journey when I enter the art gallery ~ adore the European Christian paintings, the Renaissance and Gothic paintings I love too even the frames interest me I am very inspired by Contemporary there is an interior garden to rest and ponder and a re-creation of a catholic church to pray weekly I let my eyes 'drink' it all in ~ while there I visit my friends Monet, Van Gogh, Botticelli, Bellini, Raphael and Michelangelo Titan, Rubens, Hogarth, Picasso, Leonardo and so many more ~ I stand still- my mind on fine threads of thought and each visit is ... fascinating ... I leave in awe .. full of inspiration _______________________ May 20, 2022 Poetry/Free Verse/What Fascinates Me Copyright Protected, ID 05-1456-616-20 All Rights Reserved, 2022, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, Fascination and Awe sponsor, Jeff Kyser, Judged 06/02/2022 (the art is by Monet)

I have always found art to be confusing; the task is to discover how the artist found the subject to be "beautiful" or worthy of remembrance. Aloha!
