What Easter Means To Me

As I sit and reflect on this Easter Sunday.
Many things pass through my mind.
As I see Christ hanging on the cross,
knowing HE laid down his life for me.
So my life is, entrusted to thee.
He died, he rose, so new life began
I know you suffered on the cross
to deliver us, giving us eternal life.
You suffered so that I may live.
What more honor could you bestow
on me ,one of your sheep, saving me,
through your mercy, through your grace.
The promise of everlasting life.

You carry Christ's word and his work so well in this poem, Phyllis. This IS the meaning of Easter -- a sacrifice that bestowed upon us the "promise of everlasting life." Best wishes in the contest! Love, Carolyn

Yes,Phyllis, we are getting old to forget about April Fools' Day! well, you are my last comment today.Normally I can go so fast but with joe's laptop and no mouse, I just am getting nowhere. It would take me forever to find a poem of yours I have not read on this style of computer, so I need to get off now and get ready. Leaving in less than an hour for jeremy's place. I will blog about his cute little town when I get home! Luv, andrea

HI, Phyllis, I have taken a long time just to see my comments becasue of this laptop I'm on being so awkward to use. Otherwise, I would be searching in your back pages for a poem of yours to read. anyway, I sure hope this gem gets a placement in the Easter contest. Thanks for always being a friend. andrea
