What Does Poetry Mean To Me

I have loved you for a million verses
For you emancipate the breadth of my emotions
Each pen stroke etches the thoughts I contemplate
causing me to remember so many lives
Still I question these words you gift me
Have they always been hidden within me
Or perhaps I'm blessed to hear angels voices 
Poetry, I pray that you will never abandon me
