What Do You See?

What do you see when you look at me?
Just a man, average and normal,
trying so hard to be more than I am.
Struggling, surviving, growing and learning.

Hello Ron, Nice to see you. Happy new year. Did you have a good Christmas? Any plans for New Years Eve? I am going out for dinner with my sister and her husband. I look forward to it. Are you having a quiet New Years Eve? Ii is freezing rain here. During ther night it was freezing rain with high winds. All the best for the new year. / Darlene/

Darlene, with all due respect, I have never been satisfied with being merely average. I've always struggled to be above average...seldom succeeding. Regardless, I do the best I can. Thank you for your kind words though. I''m pleased you liked the poem. Happy New Year! Ron

Thanks Christopher. I have another poem called "Introspection" and this one grew out of one of those periods of introspection. Thank you for your kind words, I'm pleased you enjoyed it! Happy Holidays! Ron
