What do you do with your dog when he dies
How do you cope with the feelings inside
So hard to discard sixteen years of your life
What do you do with your dog when he dies
What do you say when your boss fires you
Who do you blame when you know it's all true
What's your response when your wife says, "We're through"
How do you mend a heart breaking in two
How do you know which religion is right
Some praying for peace, but still ready to fight
How do you fathom the unending skies
And what do you do with your dog when he dies
Who can you touch when you feel so alone
How do you gather the strength to go on
Who can find hope when most everything's wrong
What do you do with a house full of bones
Where do you gather the will to survive
Can the aggrieved ever be pacified
Deep in the sadness there's no guiding light
What do you do with your dog when he dies
When do you know it's no use to pretend
Where is the hope when you've lost your best friend
Too young to retire and too old to begin
When is the time to just let it all end
Which piece of the puzzle is part of the prize
When echoes of laughter become only cries
What happens to reason when strong feelings rise
And what do you do with your dog when he dies
