What Can I Hold Onto

What can I hold onto in the cold day as the leaves sway What can I do as on the left the tendons tighten and muscles wave And I sit seeing the green branches pulled by the winds Sunny and cold morning rises Aching shoulder leg and arm Michelangelo saw the marble and set it free Bone muscle and nerves let me be Like the clouds in the sky whispering Can I ask softly for the angels to pray Set me free and close to a glorious golden orange sky Let us all be painless and free And let go these moments of pain Allowing only beauty and wonder to reign.
