I love you – even when the smile is shy
I love you, even when I can’t say why
I love you, when my tears just won’t dry
I love you, with a love I can’t deny
What breaks my heart completely, dear
Are the tears that sting with dark fear
The mourning that I so dread to hear
The feelings that flow, feelings so sincere
I love you – even when the light fades
I love you, with a love that always persuades
I love you, when the loneliness pervades
I love you, even when darkness dissuades
What breaks my heart so totally, my love
Is knowing that your heart and mine fit like a glove
And, whatever may come, I’ll never get rid of…
All the beauty I’ve known – it was sent from above
I love you – like the stars love the night
I love you, in the dawn’s reflective light
I love you, with a love that makes things right
I love you, beyond the words I write.
What breaks my heart is the feeling of weakness
The powerlessness that comes with such meekness
The story was told and my heart felt the bleakness
Whatever comes with time, this love carries a uniqueness
I love you – even when I can’t tell you the ways
I love you, when my heart fails to offer praise
I love you with a love that forever stays
I love you, because God set my soul ablaze…
With a wonderful that came from meeting you
A joy that keeps me from feeling sad and blue
A affection that means I’ve found a way through
Out of the fear, into the grace of love that is new.
I love you – even more than words can reveal
I love you, with a love that pain can’t steel
I love you, and the story will go on – it is real
I love you – and it’s more than just sex appeal
I love you, because God created us to become One
Two hearts, two souls, two who love God’s only Son
Two believers, two who praise the love for anyone
Love that means there is hope that is only just begun!
Please don’t leave me, my love – please don’t go away
Hear my heartbreaking for you to simply stay
Breathe in life through the promises that I pray
Promises of love that will bring light to the darkest gray.
Listen, my friend
I’ll love you til the end
With a love that can defend
A love that lasts and will never pretend…
It is a love on which you can always depend
It is a love that comes to mend
It is a love that is a godsend
It is a love that has no loose end
It is love that brings the words I have penned
To write a story of what it means to give glory
To the One whose grace is mandatory
For anyone who believes that love is more than allegory!
