What a World
What a world to confide in
Where words in disguise
Proclaim what's not inside,
It's just a heartless ride
Leading to our demise
What a world to build in
Where cinder blocks of lies
Build walls to hide
All the passions on the side,
Playing games with our eyes
What a world to trust in
Where loyalty is just an act
Any charmer learns to survive
So their small hearts may thrive,
As if wishing ours to contract
What a world to love in
Where true values are lost,
Overrun by fictional laws
Written by those without a cause
And it's us feeling the cost.
