What a Charmer
She was a snake charmer’s daughter Mother did all the same things before her Her mom did it best For she was well blessed Her daughter was smaller and shorter. Yet she's a beautiful performer Charming all the snakes there before her Only wears rubies Upon her boobies And sequins light up her transformer. Beneath the stars and moonlight she glows Dancing with bells on fingers and toes With ducks and dives She brings snakes alive Including those pounding in trunk hose.

Belle I see below your husband is not well I'm so sorry from the depths of my heart, has he ever caught COVID? These doctors today I do t know how they pass their exams or maybe they studied so that could merely use the title of Doctor on their emails and letterheads. They are not as good as the old family doctors we all used to have who knew us well and would even do house calls. Hope he feels better soon. Love and hugs Jennifer

Jennifer, my husband and myself have fortunately not caught Covid up till now. It’s something I dread as Alan has been so ill and is still recovering. I agree with what say about family doctors, but the doctors who looked after Alan in hospital were wonderful, without them he couldn't have survived the sepsis, they brought him back from the brink many times… Love Belle

Love your humor Belle, you have a real talent for this, many do not have this gift. I read below that your husband is better, and that has made my day today, Is he back home? A sassy poem, loved it. Hugs and blessings. Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, my husband came home from hospital a week ago and this morning he went back in. The poor man can’t understand why all this has happened to him and neither can I. The report on the discharge sheet reads like a horror story, it’s terribly tragic what he has been through and he’s nowhere near a total recovery. Thank you for your comments on the Limericks. Bless you, hugs Belle

Thank you Brian - my husband came home a week ago and had to be readmitted early this morning, seems to be a kidney problem, it’s hard to get any information, that’s how it’s been all along. Best wishes to you and yours, Belle

Both the lovely poetess and the humorous poem are charmers. A wonderful and clever string of limericks. Belle, I am so glad to hear that your husband is on the road to recovery. Fingers crossed for him to go home sooner rather than later. Best wishes for a win and warmest wishes to you and Alan.. ~Susan

Belle, The fact that he could be coming home with you and that you're back here is encouraging; I wrote you an SP message on New Year's Eve. I hope everything is good with you; I know it's been a source of concern for you. I'll keep you and your family in my thoughts.

Thank you Lasaad, I’ll read your SoupMail now, I haven’t been on site much for obvious reasons. But things are looking up, Alan told me today they’ve started physio to get him walking before he comes home. He will need to have a district nurse come in for a while, but it’ll be great to have him back home with me. Thanks for thinking of us… Belle

Thank you Tom, it’s been a dreadful worry, three times I was called in because Alan was critical. I’m so looking forward to having him back home with me to look after him. Prayers appreciated… Belle

Alan had to swallow a capsule camera yesterday, waiting to see if they have found the source of the internal bleed. If they have they can stop it. Doctor told me Alan is much improved and should come home soon. He still hasn’t walked in over seven weeks and I imagine we’ll have to have some help when he is home. I’m sure they’ll talk it over with me. I’m starting to feel a little better in myself now that Alan is over the worst. Thank you Victor… Hugs, Belle
