We'Ve Never Spoken of Love

We’ve never spoken of love
We’ve talked of music and song
Of right and wrong
But never of love.

We’ve discussed friendship
And the meaning of trust
Just as seekers must
But never of kinship

Yet without any plan on my part
Your soul seems intertwined with mine
And it feels that part of me is missing
As life draws us apart

Perhaps some day
When you’re just a breath away
Or sleeping gently in my dreams
My soul will declare to your soul

I love you.
