We'Ll Play But Not Today

When I was young I had a toy It is a thing not for a boy For it breaks easy like a glass And hurts more than a tube of brass. I always carry it with me But people were too blind to see The coded pieces framing it Were dispersed openly where they sit. Then unexpectedly you came The first to call me by my name And dared to patiently gather The toy I cannot put together. You fixed it and made me a man I saw your smile when you're done But I kept my sentiments at bay Sure we'll play but not today.
