We'Ll Look Back and Smile

There's shape note singin' here tonight And a preacher down from Dallas We're savin' souls and gettin' right While riddin' our hearts of malice But first there's dinner on the grounds Southern chicken and potatoes Soon revival will make its rounds After the home grown tomatoes Tomorrow will be back to work But, oh, it's a Sunday to love It's well known the Devil won't lurk Where God's children hear Him above So let's eat well and laugh and sing Welcome the young preacher in style Take all the love this day can bring - We'll all look back some day and smile 2-28-20 Contest: Back When Sponsor: Line Gauthier

Larry, I like your poem a lot, it reminds me of the Sunday picnics my family would have in parks, it was a family affair or storytelling, food, music _Constance
