His wife said she’d got a new house pet
He'd not seen her smile like this in years
When she showed him she’d bought a ‘rabbit’
He'd expected one with floppy ears!

hmmm, if this is what I am thinking it means, it's something for which I don't believe we use this slang expression of rabbit. But it is super funny if that's what it is!! hahaha. I have a good imagination!

oh my goodness i am so stupid i just got it. and yes it is OTT. which is good. so how do you get away with it and I have to keep deleting mine. "lots of love. (not that you need it since you have a bunny)"

I don't have a bunny of ANY sort Maurice LOL. I have only deleted one poem since I joined Maurice purely because it was a nasty write for a contest and full of vitriol - an excellent poem but it simply wasn't 'me' so i deleted it. Hugs my friend glad you appreciated the innuendo LOL Jan xxx

And the next day, my husband brought home a pack of rechargable batteries and my smile kept going and going like the energize bunny. back again to smile at your naughty poem ;)

Rabbits make really sweet pets. My mom had one for years that acted more like a dog. It had floppy ears though. I enjoyed your poem and feel it should do well in the contest Jan.
