Discipline is important but there are many ways to do it besides hitting, my own son use to spit all the time, I made him stand facing a wall and told him to start spiting until I told him to stop, he never spit again. Great writing Gershon, have a great holiday my friend!

Thanks for the encouragement, and thanks especially for the great idea about how to put a halt to spitting. Ingenious! ... I myself used to just look 'the wrong way' at my kids, and that was enough to stop the whatever undesirable stuff was going on... Thanks again. Happy Holidays! ~ Gershon
