Welcome In This Society
WELCOME TO THIS SOCIETY
Welcome to this society where the feces is more than the toilets
Welcome to this society where the bribes are more rampant in the church than in the street
Where security is GOOD around the politician than to the citizens
Where water is more at the sewage than in our homestead
Welcome to this society where mothers are the head of the families
As fathers follows after the children
Welcome to this society
Where the killings in the churches is more than in the city centers
Where mothers are called fathers and fathers called mothers
Welcome to this society
Where those who do right things are guilty
As those who do wrong are innocent
Welcome to this society
Where innocent people are more in jail
As the rich criminal are free
Welcome to this society
Where the rich have only two children
As the poor have more than ten children
Welcome to this society
Where politician promise us good health but they
Aim at selling as mosquito nets
Welcome to this society
Where deciding where to print the ballot papers is
The big issues in the country
Welcome to this society
Where getting an A in examination is not a big deal
Where the rich people drink bottled water
As poor people drink water from the sewage
Welcome to this society
Where the armed forces thinks that police men are just but watchmen
Welcome to this society where promises are more than what they does
Welcome to this society where Jacob Juma dies
But no concrete reason is given out
Where George Saitoti dies but everybody claims to have no hand in it
Where Nkaiserry can just die without notice
Where people pollute environment and nobody claims to have eaten Githeri
Welcome to this society
Where HIV/AIDS is not an issues but pregnancy is a country’s debate
Welcome to this society
Where the citizen sells their votes for only shillings
Where kariuki kills wafula as wekesa kills Njoki
Where otieno kills Mwende as kosgei kills Maina
Welcome to this society where insecurity is our daily bread
Where bombs are the drugs we are addicted to
Where the people don’t know the neighbors name
I love you my society and I hope things will change one day
As time is a master healer
Let us PRAY to fade this paradox
Paradox kills our society
Lets fight against corruption
Lets fight against expatriates’
Lets fight against bad governance
Since God gives a leaders but we choose
Let there be no blood shade and keep in mind
Stupid man soils his house in fire only with aim to kill a rat
