Weirdo - The Conversation
Hey! Yeah, you. You big weirdo! Where do you think you're about to go?
Don't you know yo' mama and daddy barely finished 10th grade? Now here you are talking about college and "grad" school like you got it made.
It will never work, you silly fool. Foolish talk about college and "grad" school.
(Chuckle) Crazy self, talking about owning your own company. Weirdo, please! You broke! Don't you know you're gonna need some money?
And why do you always read books and try to use big words? Like you're better than somebody, ain't you got the nerve?
Look at you. Tryin' to look all prim and proper, like you're gonna get out and prosper.
Who are you to be talking about traveling and seeing the world? You know good and well, ain't nobody on this block ever been past Normandy and Pearl.
(Chuckle) Sittin' around like a little child daydreamin' every day, just wastin' time like it's another holiday.
- Pause -
Hey, you! Yeah, you. Remember when you called me a weirdo? Well, that's fine. You can call me whatever you like, but there's something I need to let you know.
This weirdo has a master's and just started his own company. Humility is king, so I'm not bragging, but I'm making pretty good money.
And oh! By the way, I thought you should know that I'm still reading books, traveling, and seeing the world. Beautiful places like Ghana, the Maldives, Paris, and Taiwan, far away from Normandy and Pearl.
