Weirdo in a Weirdworld

I woke up and everyone was purple 
Except me, of course 
I wanna be purple 
I hope it’s okay that I’m still a pinkskin 
I hope that I’m not that different than you 
But maybe it’s okay to be different 
To be a stranger in an estrangedland 
Walking hand in hand with my lover 
Who happens to be purple, of course

The imagery of wanting to be purple like everyone else but realizing it’s okay to be different gives it a simple yet thoughtful depth.
