Wednesday Is a Happy Day

Wednesday is a happy day
     Or so they say
     Or so they say
     So those of you who may:
     Come out to play
     Come out to play

We take a painful thing and smile
And hope that sorrow for a while
Will stay away
Will keep at bay

Although it's raining wild outside
And you may feel the need to hide
Don't give in, yell YAY
What a wonderful day!

     Wednesday is a happy day
     Or so they say
     Or so they say
     So those of you who may:
     Come out to play
     Come out to play

Wer'e with two, but join who can
Woman, child, or even man
Don't keep your day grey
Dance, swoon and sway

Sheriff's order so obey
Or you will be my next prey
Dance the gloom away
Write the dark away
