Webs of Destiny

In a world of concrete highways All I can do is stand by And let the wind blow through The umbrella that I wield too, Keeps me wishing I was a spider Instead of human fodder For a planet full of angry people Always fighting and making counting rules The only destination of destiny, Where once I felt free like a child's glee Now I watch the passersby And it makes me cry, For the spiders home is dewy If only from rainy days With just the next meal As their reason to kneel.

Im glad to see you expressing your thoughts through your emotional feelings of expression. I love your metaphors. They are well thought and convey your message well. Nicely written Kathy. Hope you are well today...
