Wealth Beaters

Wealth Beaters Why? Because of the hospitals they built? Or the many scholarships they fund? Is it the millions they sink, so vaccines can be found? Why? The alumni funds that keep colleges afloat? That they personally fund artists and their works? Why? Are we just jealous, so jealous that we thrive on class warfare? That makes us an unhappy lot, judging others is no joy. Look into your own heart. What do you do weekly financially to help others? Do you volunteer at all? Or sit an home, doing a daily judgement call? Why? Have you built a corporation that employs thousands? Do you volunteer in rough areas to help others? Money or lack thereof is no way to judge our fellow man. Best we look into our own mirrors and ask: "Am I doing all that I can?" That old saying so very true." Judge not, lest you be       judged also." To a compassionate world!            May 10, 2020            10:30am PST

As long as the wealthy help the poor I have no problem with that but when it's just sitting in a bank doing nothing while people are starving then something is very wrong. Tom

Good point Tom! The converse is also true~ that many people feel life owes them a free everything,))that is when envy shows its ugly face. You can buy a new pair of shoes and people will envy you. Not a thought that you went out to work for them. Envy is built in us. The something for nothing forever is a creeping movement in the USA. Panagiota xxoo

Lovely poem. I live in a very mixed neighbourhood, and it is much friendlier than the richer hoods. Too, I love the play on "wife beater" ;), xomo

Hi...my experience is vast. I have had best friends from homeless shelters and friends who were millionaires.no difference, you know. Love is love. I had attitude for years about the wealthy. I gave it up when I found humans were humans. I feel at home anywhere. Am I odd? YES! I have friends in the poorest ghettos, too. It's all good, Maureen-)) thrilled you like this one. Sweet of you. I agree ...I believe it's the same when some people only give because of their religion... I agree with your words.

Hello Silent! May your day go well! Giving truly is more satisfying than receiving in all areas. I am amazed at how generous people really are! If you drive a Jaguar and I drive a Fiat, so what? We each have the right to our choices. Philanthropists are not to be scorned. Nor any of our efforts to make the world a better place. Thanks, Panagiota xxoo
