We Will Rise...

It's all in the telling... A story, a truth, a lie, a fortune.... Maybe it's not what is said but in HOW.... We cling to the possible, ignoring how improbable.... I suppose it's how we get by what gets by us........ Fantasy vs. Fact.....hmmmm...should I even guess?!?? We wallow in the mud of all our heroes dirt.... Actors, rock stars, entertainers, atheletes, politicians... Happy little piggies we be!!!!! Oink-oink, squeal-squeal!! We eat it up out of the troughs that media offers up hourly... Insatiatable are our greedy, needy, lustful little souls.... And the price NEVER concerns us, 'cause we don't have to pay... Oh, but we do, we do! Our children see it too! Detached, apathetic, and numb...a generation of "video" killers... Vicariously living life through a blood soaked lens.... Gone are the days when there was less to do.... But somehow we got more out of it!! Didn't you???? Tell me true!!! We haven't lost our imaginations..... just misplaced them, perhaps. Mis-shaped them, replaced them. Refaced them, retraced them. And even though they've burned all the maps, we can still find the way, Using our souls as a compass, as a trusted guide. We will rise above it all and plant the flag at the summit... And reclaim the lucid, pure, and satiating joy of simplicity!!
