We Must Unite

If we think our country can go on like this
We couldn’t be more wrong on any day
The enemy has already been empowered
They have infiltrated within our borders
Attacks prove what they are capable of doing
Weakened, divided Americans cannot manage this scenario
We fight the wars abroad, now it is here on our soil
Law enforcement cannot be expected to keep up with this
If we want lives saved and to protect our country
-   The only way is for Americans to ‘unite’    -
We must do what is right for our country together
Not fighting with each other, not ignoring the facts
The time is now to come up with positive solutions
It is imperative to save Americans and our country

Heidi, so very well said and very true. One of my biggest fears is the enemy within...we are our own worst enemy. I don't know if our country can ever unite again. And if true, that may be the end of our society as we know it. John

You are so right, "It IS imperative to save Americans and our country!" I couldn't agree more than this statement my friend! I am not sure how we can influence the top to do what is right, but if we unite, as a single massive voice, he will have to submit to our wishes! I'm hoping we do what is right to conquer this evil that is infiltrating our borders! I really enjoyed reading your illustrious poem here this morning! Such a grand piece, filled with thoughtful words to ponder! Great Work!!
