We love Lucille
Driving to New York mills, a town not far from wadena Minnesota, I saw a sign they caught my eye, I dudnt know my mother in law was so special.
A mom of four boys from a small town, who gave of herself to tend to all her boys needs, she wiped noses, laughed, played games with her boys no matter what sport, she was always there to help them no matter what the need.
She cooked, cleaned, helped with homework, played board games, entertained the town folk with an open door, no matter how tired.
Many long days with only her boys, no complaints did she mutter, except when it came to getting help doing the dishes, the football games took a break, if she fed you, you’d better listen, unless no dessert.
She wasn’t my birth mom but for many years I had wished she was, because in her home, I had found something I had never had, a home of laughter, love and heartfelt gratitude… and JESUS in everything her family gave, that sign was right, We love Lucille, with all of our heart..
