We Have Lived, Loved, Lusted -

We have Lived, Loved, Lusted …

FAILED SUCCESS brought man to his LUSTY LOT in LIFE –
The game of life is much like a game of sports.
One cannot win any game unless he tries.
Neither can one lose a game without playing.
Furthermore, one cannot play the game…really play the games,
Unless he has at least put forth his best effort.
And so it is that life is a perfect example of FAILED SUCCESS.
Here we are successfully living mortal lives.
WHY? WILLING WAYWARDNESS.
That’s it! Eve and Adam willingly failed to obey God.
Did they intentionally throw the game of immortality?
WHY WOULD they? How could they?
Intentionally giving up immortal life seems unfathomable.
Did AMAZING DULLNESS plague immortality?
Sure, mortal life might be full of trials and tribulation
That sometimes makes a man feel like the LIVING DEAD,
But playing the game of life is where the real fun is.
And we get to play because our first parents failed.
Or did they? They brought mortality and progeny; thus, we
Have LIVED, LOVED, LUSTED, LAUGHED, AND LEARNED.

You GOT it, DAne Ann. By sinning, they made what God intended all along!! I'm so glad someone else gets that. Life is all about paradoxes. I think God must delight in the oxymorons! Congratulations. LUv, Andrea

Ah, the L word, truly captures the imagination in your provocative poem Dane Ann. I can think of a few more that endure in my life such as loud, loathsome, luxurious...loved your poem! Mahalo, Connie
