We Do Not Deserve This Honor

WE DO NOT DESERVE THIS HONOR Just what does it mean, This greeting of "Happy New Year"? Is it just hats and toys and horns, People with good cheer? Does it mean we are closer, To heaven's open gate? A meeting with our Savior, If it is then I can't wait! What did we do to deserve this honor, Of another twelve months on? Did we take care of the ones just given, The year that now is gone? What will we do with this special offering, Given to us by God above? Will we share it with our neighbor, Will we fill it with our love? Each day is a blessing, That only God can give. Because He owns and knows you, Each of us may live. We did nothing to deserve it, We paid not a widow's mite. But we live to share another dawn, For we are precious in His sight. We pray the blessings of His Love, Will follow you this year. Wrapped in His care and tenderness, You have nothing now to fear. When this one is over, As we near the 12 month's end. Remember those who love you, In Jesus' Name, Amen. RAYMOND V. MORGAN
