We Could
Banks could startup environment
improvement clubs
where people invest together
using the joint power of an investment
Governments could put forward
environmental improvement ideas
so the banks new where to direct
group investment saving
people with ideas could put them forward
to Government agency's
where experts choose the best ideas
to improve the environmental problem
Industrial chimneys can be capped
taking the carbon and using it for roads
the deserts can be reclaimed, arad land
can be turned into lush and fertile farms.
Universities could come together
using the intelligence of the human race
to come up with ideas on improving life
overcoming poverty, improving the environment
The world could become organized
to fight the war on environment disaster
hotels could be built near African villages
bringing clean water to the starving children
creating tourism and wealth for the people
money buys food we can overcome poverty
using the brains of the world
we could aim to build balanced economies
Every country needs jobs
every country needs a balanced economy
one world one planet we don't need
to own the world to help the world improve
Healthy countries have money to buy your products
at the moment Iran wants to attack America
because they don't respect our way of life
for years television has attacked white people
blaming us for the slavery of the past
blaming us for stealing African people
and abusing raping and destroying their lives
it was the truth and needed to be said
but the people that did that are dead
to build the respect of the world we could focus on
the people that fought against slavery
the three hundred thousand soldiers that gave lives
To fight and overcome slavery
children in schools are losing respect for the adults
I watched a child of seven at the railway station
arguing with a police officer
"I could take you into the police station"
"You can't do anything take me in
and you have to get my parents
you can't do anything"
The child knew that police
parents and teachers were powerless
the laws have changed to protect the child
yet when I went to school I knew not to argue
Teachers had the power
I knew that I could get the cane
not that I ever did, came close
yet without respect how do you teach the child
As a world, we need balance in all things
discipline is not abuse and should not be severe
abuse leaves damage discipline gains achievement
the worst abuse is lost education.
