We Could

If we stopped fighting with Iraq 
If we stopped fighting with Iran
If we stopped Impeaching Trump
If we turned our backs on war.

We could fight to save our planet
we could stand both proud and happy
with our leaders right and happy 
build desalination plants for deserts

Using waste and fertilizer to reclaim 
the arad land, to make countries 
lush and lovely to make families a home
we could stand and work together 

We could stand and work together 
in the war to save our land 
Awar of working people as they fight
both hand in hand to make a better planet

with jobs throughout the land
increased our space research
take robots into space 
don't need to waste our human live's

If robots harvest metals
and humans operate
from ground-based signal lines
forget about sweet star-trek 

We do not need that speed
can build new homes on planets
the moon and mars agreed
using robots over time

We could start by build buildings 
using robots that don't breath
we could then start growing plants 
using robots to plants seed

Taking time we could build 
everything that any man would need
stand proud of what we're doing
stand proud and shout and rave

We could build a better planet
with investment let us path
the war-torn ravaged countries
create the farms and homes

building them new empires 
as one united thrown
let's rebuild the shops the factory's 
but not with thoughts of charity

Create the work for them to have 
let them stand proud and strong
change the focus from our wars
and build the living song

The movies stars and people 
could stand up hand and hand
singing praise through-out the world
for the work that we are doing

to make countries good and strong
with the land reclaimed from deserts 
we build and grow the trees 
to build houses' for the people

where they would love to be 
all our people can be working 
all our people can have jobs 
if we'd only work together

In a world full of love
where we stop the war and fighting 
and fight to save our land
to provide the love and laughter
with our children hand in hand
